Exactly how are online job openings and regular jobs different? Well, "regular jobs" are time-based and require you to be physically present. By way of example if you have a job at McDonalds, you are required to:

A. Make an appearance at a certain time, ready to work.

B. You must be presentable, that means outfitted and groomed in a manner compatible with the position and the public contact your job requires.

C. Your pay is mostly time-based; you will be paid by the hour or week or month that you're there working or ready to work.

D. Your supervisor is charged with making sure you show up, look presentable and actually work during the times you are "clocked in"

Online jobs, online job openings, are results-based and deadline-based. This means that nobody cares how you look, how (or even if) you're dressed or what hours you work. They care only about what you accomplish. The number of surveys you completed, what number of blog postings you made or how many my space and face book bookmarks you placed -- whatever it was you were supposed to do.

When you apply for jobs online, nobody cares whether you work mornings, afternoons or nights. That's typically your choice. If your job was to write ten articles on "Artichoke hearts" and deliver them by midday on Friday, they don't care when or where you wrote the articles or if you ever shaved and took a bath or otherwise. All they are concerned about is that you have them there, with acceptable format and quality, by or before noon on Friday.

With a "regular job" at a "bricks and mortar" company/business, it's about arriving on time, making a good appearance and doing the job during the prescribed hours.

During an Internet job (real online job), it's all about what you gotten done and whether you met your deadlines or not.

Oh, and whenever you work for a bricks and mortar company you will need to make an appearance at a specific time and place on payday so you can get your check or your pay envelope. Whenever you work online your cash earned is deposited directly into your PayPal account and you can access it using an atm card at any ATM, anywhere in the world, at any hour.

Not to mention that when you are making money on the internet you save all the costs and time of commuting, buying and maintaining appropriate clothing, self-grooming to the boss' standards plus the necessity of getting along with co-workers.
